I would like to start off by wishing everyone a great year 2011, may you come closer to realizing your dreams, big or small!

In this article, I would like to demonstrate how un ugly duckling of a bedroom was transformed into a grown up and beautiful room within 3 days.

Yes it is possible, with a lot of hard work, cooperation from everyone involved and a lot of luck. I recently took up a challenge to completely transform a bedroom which has not been touched in over 20 years. The client wanted a contemporary but peaceful environment with some feminine touches for her bedroom. She opted for neutral palette but wanted a splash of bright green and raspberry colors to liven the room up.!

Our interior redesign plan called for extreme makeover.

ALL of the furniture was taken out by a junk removal company, the old green carpet was pulled up and new sisal look carpet installed the next day. The walls and the ceiling were primed and painted the same day. We chose a beautiful color by Behr – W-B-720 Oyster as our background and matched the color of the carpet to it. The ceiling and the trims were painted Benjamin Moore – CC40 Cloud White – a very light beige color, instead of a plain white to make the room cosier.

Simultaneously, we shopped and purchased all new furniture as well as new pleated shades and all the accessories, including a new light fixture (which, I think, is stunning!), lamps, bedding, curtains, decorative cushions, artwork and the rest of the accessories.

Our interior decorating / home staging Montreal specialist knew where to purchase beautiful accessories at a reasonable price. All purchases, excluding the furniture and the carpet, totalled approximately $1,500 CAN. Our expert renovation team did all the work for under $1,000 CAN – plastering, priming, painting, changing all the electrical outlets , installing light fixtures as well as the shades and the curtains.

The furniture was assembled and the room was set up on the third day. We think that everything came together beautifully. You be the judge!

Et oui, c'est possible, mais nous avons travaillé très fort et avons eu beaucoup de chance de la part de nos collaborateurs dans le projet. J'ai récemment eu une demande de la part d'une jeune femme qui souhaiter moderniser sa chambre à coucher qui n'a pas été retouchée depuis plus de 20 ans.

Notre plan d'action fut extrème - transformation totale!

TOUS les meubles ont été remplacés. Le vieux tapis mur a mur fut remplacé par un tapis style sysal couleur beige pale la même journée. Les murs et le plafond ont été repeints également presque simultanément. Notre choix s'est arrêté sur une superbe couleur de Behr, une de mes favorites, W-B-720 Oyster pour les murs et le plafond ainsi que les cadres et les plinthes ont été peintes en Benjamin Moore – CC40 Cloud White.

Évidemment, nous avons fait plein de shopping ce weekend là - non seulement tous les meubles, mais aussi les stores, les rideaux, le chandelier au plafond (que je trouve magnifique)!, la nouvelle literie et tous les accessoitres.

Heureusement notre équipe connait des bonnes adresses pour faire les achats à des prix intéressants. Tous les achats, excluant le tapis et les meubles, nous ont coûtés environ 1,500$ CAN. Les travaux ont été exécutés par notre super équipe au coût approximatif de 1,000$ CAN.

Nous sommes très fiers des résultats et la cliente fut stupéfiée, elle ne reconnaissait pas sa chambre. Mission accomplie!
