How to stage an empty house

This page will discuss the different options you have to stage an empty house you are trying to sell. You don't need to stage all the rooms, but, at a minimum, should focus on the entrance/foyer, living room, dining room, a master bedroom and a bathroom.

Staging an empty house involves bringing in a few essential pieces of furniture, setting them up in a most advantageous way (vignettes), adding accessories, such as mirrors, prints, lamps, throws, decorative pillows, plants, vases, towels, candles, etc and final touches for Open Houses and visits, such as fresh flowers and a bowl of lemons!

To ensure a "model home" look, a popular option is to rent some new furniture, available from HSM's rental partner, especially for the purpose of staging empty houses. We selected a few examples in different price ranges to help you budget this project. Please note that the prices are for renting each piece for a period of 1-60 days and includes delivery, set-up and pick-up in the Montreal area. (taxes are extra). The prices are quite lower after the initial 60 day period.

Home Staging Montreal is not responsible for the furniture rental contract concluded directly between the supplier and the client. To help you stage an empty house, a Staging professional will be present at the client's home for the delivery, setup and the furniture disposition.

Home Staging Montreal owns some smaller pieces of furniture as well as accessories and decorative items and will be happy to rent them to you for a small monthly fee.

All prices are for your information only and can be changed at any time.
