Staging home statistics
Staging home statistics clearly demonstrate the benefits of investing some money in selective home improvements before putting the house on the market. Unfortunately, there are very few rigourous and up-to-date statistics available on the market.

*2003 HomeGain Survey of 2,000 real estate agents nationwide found that moderately priced home improvements, ranging from $80-2,800, made in preparation for sale actually yield the highest returns when a house is sold. Increases for 2006-2007 are anticipated to be even higher.
We started to compile our own local statistics, which generally show a definite significant return on investment, whether in reduced sale time or a better sale price (often OVER or very close to the asking price) or both.
